Color Artistry Made Easy By Lancome with Michelle Phan

I was invited by TANGS to attend the Color Artistry with Michelle Phan.

It was an eventful afternoon with loads of beauty tips and secrets.

Michelle shared with us the essential brushes for us to take along during our Summer holidays

The types of brushes for eye makeup and its functionality

As well as creating Long Lasting Double Eyelid WITHOUT Surgery

Yes . . .

You heard it right

Long lasting double eyelid without surgery

Amazing?

I was really stunned and surprised with her DIY method



The trick is to stick double sided double eyelid tape on your eyes consecutively for at least 2 weeks.

Even when you bath or sleep

Let's say if the tape drop or peel off?

Just take a new one and stick it back to the original place

IF

You are not comfortable with having a tape on your eyelid consecutively for 2 weeks,

You can also sleep overnight with the tape and peel it off the very next day.

According to Michelle, the so called fake double eyelid will stay in place for the rest of the day.

I used double eyelid tape on my left eye too.

And whenever I removed my double eyelid tape after a day's wear (about 6-8 hours)

Even after double cleansing my face,

The double eyelid line or fold, you call it

IS Still Intact

It has never occur to me to stick it up during the night time, sleep through it till the very next day.

But

With Michelle's reminder, I am so going to try it.



Another interesting tip that Michelle share with us is the thickness of our brows.

A simple analogy:



The same painting will look big and filled with a thick border frame.

If you place the same painting in a thin border frame, the painting will look small and empty.

Likewise, if our brows are a wee bit thicker, the space between the brow and lid will significantly decrease

which induces your eye to seems bigger.

If your brows are slightly thinner, the space between the brow and lid will significantly increase,

which might make your eyes seems a little smaller.

The above photo spells it all, isn't it?

Well, be it thick or thin, you just have to find out which suits you better.

Thick eyebrow makes you look young and nice

BUT

Thin eyebrow makes your face shape look slimmer and lift it up.

The choice is entirely up to you.

Avoid Leaving Lipsticks on Your Wine Glass

Ever had such embarrassing moments where you will leave your lip gloss or lipstick stains on your glass?

I hate it loads and hence will never ever apply colored lip gloss

Just a coat of lip balm or transparent lip gloss

What my other girlfriends would do is to use a straw

But then again, they would also leave stains on the straw which is still unsightly

Then some would say use Matt lipsticks

But Matt lipsticks will still leave a wee bit of stain regardless what

And even then, it is very drying for lips

Powder shadow is a wee that bit messy with them falling and dirtying the look

They are easily spread with fingers and even much easier with the attached brush

I do not even need to set them with powder colors at all

Not only the color stays all day, in the sun with the sweat

And even under water, in the pool

I have tried 2 looks using the Black Tango Palette

Can you see how the eyes are enlarged with the contouring and falsies

Only a dab of color (Green + Blue) is blended at the corner of the eyes to give it some depth and lift

You can blend the color till the outer corner of the iris, about 1/3 of the length of your eyelid

I use Ivory under the brow bone and the inner corner, 2/3 of the eyelid for some contrast

The brush in the palette makes it much easier to blend with the firm nylon fibre bristles

Another new product from the Black Tango Collection

would be the Aqua Cream Matt Black

which is my Super Love

It has the same formula as the Aqua Cream range

But

offers a unique difference with a Matt finishing

It is also waterproof with impeccable hold

I pick up the color with my liner brush and draw an eyeliner

Remember that my eyelid is disgustingly oily

and

NO eyeliner could have stay put throughout the day without transfering colors

BUT

This little pot is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G

The liner stays put and does not run nor smudge

This is my Holy Grail

I tried another Intense look with Aqua Cream Matt Black

Eye Closed

After - Before

You can see that the color stays obediently at the correct place,

Does Not run, Does Not smudge, Does Not transfer

AND

the color Does Not Crease!!!

Yes, the color is Matt

And

You might think that the color will crease and difficult to blend or spread

BUT

You are awfully wrong

Because of the same formula as Aqua Cream Range

FACE


(1)  Apply VS PRO Airbrush FX Face Primer SPF 20 to instantly perfect and smooth skin.

(2) Even out skin tone with a thin layer of VS Makeup Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15.

(3) Apply VS PRO Camouflage FX Concealer Palette to under-eye area to hide imperfections and dark circles.

(4) Sweep a light dusting of VS Makeup Baked Mineral Bronzing Powder on forehead, cheeks, chin and nose.

EYES

Lip Tattoo : New Lips in the Making

I am sure everybody knows what Tattoo is

                    BUT

How about Lip Tattoo?

Violent Lips is a temporary Lip Tattoo which can last on our lips for about 4-8 hours.

There are about 12 designs for us to choose from and let's check it out.

Let the fingers do the walking

(1) Trim the pre cut Violent Lips according to your lips.

(2) Remove the transparent covering on the pattern side of the lip.

(3) Place the pre cut lips with the sticky pattern side on your lips and apply water to wet it thoroughly

And Viola . . . We are done !!!

The tattoo is a bit rubbery and does tear a wee bit if you stretch your mouth.

It is not as tasty as those lip balms so hence, please do not try licking it.

I applied shimmering lip gloss over it to further protect the tattoo as well as giving my lips some shine.

It does however take some practise to apply the tattoo on our lips though.
